Last year, I thought it was time to take an extended vacation. I wanted a vacation where I could enjoy great Costa Rican scenery and learn more Spanish than I would ever in a traditional classroom format. How did I do that? I went on a 3 week intensive Spanish Immersion experience to Costa Rica. For those 3 weeks, I was in a classroom for 5 hours every day, where English was never spoken. After class, I often spent another 3 hours studying Spanish everyday. Within a week, because of this intensive foreign language study, I was talking and yes —thinking – in Spanish every day, all day. After 3 weeks, I could express myself in almost any way I wanted. At that point in my adventure, I traveled Costa Rica by bus for a week, seeing some of the major sites and talking to people everywhere in Spanish. Too good to be true? Not really. You can learn the same way that I did, and receive an official certification from reputable companies, just like mine below.
